·         Enhancements

o        CPS 5.3 Compatibility - Now the #1 student response system in the world can be used with Workspace software. Seamlessly integrate the Interwrite Board and Pad with CPS for a powerful interactive classroom solution.

o        Response 5.0 Compatibility - Response software has been completely redesigned from the ground up to provide step by step tools for collecting formative assessment data from your students. Response is fully integrated with Workspace software to provide a 1st class presentation and assessment classroom solution.

o        ExamView Reader - ExamView questions are available for every K-12 textbook in the United States. All ExamView test files can be easily placed in the Workspace Gallery by a simple drag and drop process. These test files can then be placed on a Workspace page for discussion and assessment. Workspace’s powerful annotation tools are ideal for developing a deeper understanding of the key concepts in any subject. You can also use either CPS or PRS student response systems to more quantitatively measure your students’ progress.

o        New Handwriting Recognition Package - Handwriting recognition is now available for 86 languages including Chinese, Japanese and Korean. Many languages also include a dictionary lookup to enhance the text recognition capabilities.

o        Right-click Menus - Now you can choose to make changes to tools or objects using either our Properties Bar or Floating Menus. The Properties Bar makes all attributes for an object or tool available at the bottom of the page. The Floating Menus make these same attributes available with a simple right-click…anywhere on the Workspace page.

o        Snap to Grid - This exciting new capability allows objects to be easily aligned and arranged. As any object is drawn or moved, it is aligned with the page grid. The grid can be shown on the page or hidden to prevent distraction on the Workspace page. The spacing of the grid can also be adjusted to increase or decrease the distance between objects.

o        New Text Box - The all new Workspace text box allows you to format text anyway you like. Change the color, font or size of a word or ever a single letter! Other familiar text options such as text justification (left, right, center) and bullets are also now available.

o        Drag and Drop Toolbar Customization - Changing the available tools in the Workspace toolbars has never been easier. Simply drag any tool you like into or out of the toolbar and it’s immediately available for use.

o        Freeform Capture - High quality capturing tools have been a great feature of Workspace software for quite some time, but now we’ve added the ability to capture any portion of the screen. Simply choose the Freeform Capture option and use the pencil tool to draw a closed path around the portion of the screen you would like. Anything inside the closed path is automatically captured and placed on the Workspace page.

o        Workspace Page Scaling - Workspace will now scale lessons written at higher computer screen resolutions to fit on smaller computer monitors. This scaling process takes place automatically when the Workspace files are opened, so they are ready to use right away!

o        Area Fill - The all new area fill tool is a great way to change the background color of a page or fill any closed shape with the selected color. Just choose the area fill tool and click in the portion of the page you would like to color!

o        Database Supported Gallery - The Workspace gallery is the place to store and interact with all of your educational content. We’ve added a few new features that make the Gallery even easier to use:

§         Drag and drop images directly into the Gallery

§         Create a new folder in the Gallery to store any of your favorite items

§         Automatic updates of the Workspace Gallery when new Interwrite Learning Content becomes available

o        New Device Manager - Our completely redesigned Device Manager is easier to use and more intuitive. Each device is represented with a large icon and all the properties of that device are more easily accessible. Power management options for the Interwrite Pad have also been added to balance connectivity needs with battery life.

o        Transparent Toolbar - The Workspace toolbar is a powerful resource on your desktop, but there may be times that you need to see objects behind the toolbar. We’ve added a toolbar option that makes the toolbar transparent when not in use to help with your desktop management.

o        Copy and Paste

§         Pasted objects are placed down and to the right of the original object

§         Multiple pasted objects will tile down and to the right relative to one another

o        Circle Shape - Circle is now drawn from the center
